Methodology
This page explains how the configurator arrives at the build you get — the criteria, and the order we apply them in. We don't publish the weights and thresholds behind the calculations.

Where the prices come from
- Prices and availability come from major Polish electronics stores — Komputronik, Media Expert, x-kom and RTV Euro AGD among them. You can see the current list on every build.
- We refresh the data four times a day.
- For each part we take the cheapest offer that is actually in stock at that store. A low headline price isn't enough — if you can't buy it, it doesn't go into your build.
- We track selected stores rather than the whole market, so we don't claim to find the lowest price in Poland.
- We assemble the build separately for each store and as a mixed version. You can see what one delivery from a single store costs, and what the cheapest combination of parts costs.
How we split your budget
- We spread your budget across nine slots: processor, graphics card, motherboard, memory, SSD, hard drive, power supply, case and cooler.
- The split depends on what the PC is for and on what parts cost that day. When one slot gets more expensive the others give way to it, but none drops below the cheapest compatible part on the shelf.
- Once the first version is assembled we check what is left over. Unspent money goes into stronger parts, and we repeat the check for as long as adding more still buys something.
- We never round your budget up. A build described as “under 5,000 zł” costs at most 5,000 zł.
- You can name a part you already own. It doesn't count against your budget, so the whole amount goes to everything else — which is how an upgrade gets planned: keep the graphics card and spend the money on the platform around it.
- A graphics card's age counts in the ranking. Performance per złoty on its own favors chips a few generations old, because they cost less. A card on its way out has shorter driver support and patchier availability, so it loses ground.
What we check in every build
Every build goes through roughly thirty compatibility rules. They run every time, not on request.

When we don't show you a build
- We don't show an incomplete build. If your budget doesn't stretch to one of the slots, we say so instead of handing you a PC with no power supply or no cooler.
- We separate two reasons for failing: the budget is too low, or the stores don't stock a part that fits. In the second case more money changes nothing, so we tell you that up front.
- When the prices we hold are more than a day old, the build carries a warning. We don't present stale data as current.
- When you set a specific requirement, storage capacity for instance, we look for the cheapest part that meets it. We don't move up to a pricier one just because your budget could absorb it.
What we cannot check
- Stores don't publish every specification. Where data is missing we don't guess — we skip the check and list it with your build.
- The gaps are usually graphics card power connectors, memory module height, cooler height and rated capacity, and radiator mounting points in the case.
- We check everything the available data allows, and we list every check we couldn't run alongside your build. That is exactly why we don't promise full compatibility — the promise would cover data nobody gave us. The final check before you buy is yours.
How we measure performance
- Gaming performance comes from our own index, calculated from published chip specifications. We don't copy anyone else's benchmark tables.
- For professional work such as rendering we use Blender Open Data, a public benchmark database.
- We report a score, not a predicted frame rate in a named game. Frame rates depend on settings, resolution and the game itself, so a single figure would be a promise we couldn't keep.
Independence and how we earn
- We aren't a store and we don't sell parts.
- We earn a commission from stores when you buy through our link. Your price doesn't change.
- Commission doesn't affect which parts we pick or how builds are ordered. No store can pay for a higher position.
- We rank on your budget and what the PC is for, price, performance results, compatibility between parts, and availability in the store.
